Yet a recent survey of men found that 60% of those surveyed would love to have received flowers, especially on Valentine's Day. Men too are buying them more and more for themselves, as they discover the look of bright and beautiful flowers for their homes and offices. All of us like to feel special so next time you have an opportunity to spoil a man try sending him flowers.

Of course there are some useful guidelines for you to follow so here are a few handy hints. Generally the pastels and more traditional feminine designs are better avoided for the majority of males but a contemporary or exotic style with bright powerful colours is always a good start.

Don't forget men like fragrances too so discuss your choices with the florist when you place the order. You may even prefer to send a nice plant until you have determined his reactions. Remember florists are problem solvers. You do not need to have specific flowers or designs in mind, just have a clear idea of what you want to achieve.

Women should not assume that men do not like receiving flowers, for the research proves otherwise. Men enjoy no reason at all surprises almost as much as women, though tickets to a sporting match most probably rate fairly well too.
